Issues Important to Arizona’s Economy - Critical to Arizona’s Water Future: Fixing Lake Mead’s Structural Deficit
Thank you for desire to protect Lake Mead. Collaborative actions by CAP and its partners have been successful in leaving enough water in the lake to avoid a shortage on the river for 2017, but due to the long term drought and over allocation, more must be done. At the individual citizen level, what you can do is to pursue a greater awareness about these issues, support your water utility and elected officials in the difficult and potentially unpopular decisions they may have to make.
